Scenic Wilderness Cruise

Over forty-five years ago, we launched our very first adventure—and it remains our signature cruise today. Journey north from the sparkling waters of Lake Buchanan to where the Colorado River meets Fall Creek Falls, a breathtaking 60-foot cascade that tumbles straight into the river. From there, the voyage winds deeper into ranch country, where wide-open skies frame dramatic limestone cliffs and rolling hills.

Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for herons, osprey, and other native Texas birds, as well as deer and other wildlife that thrive along the riverbanks. Our experienced guides bring the landscape to life with stories of local history, geology, and folklore, ensuring you see more than just the views—you’ll experience the Hill Country’s spirit from the water.

Eagle Cruise

Each winter, American Bald Eagles return to Lake Buchanan and the Colorado River, making this one of the best places in Texas to see these majestic birds in the wild. On our Eagle Cruise, we journey upriver to the quiet coves and towering trees where eagles are known to roost, hunt, and soar.

Along the way, you’ll also encounter a variety of migrating birds and native wildlife, from graceful herons and egrets to osprey and kingfishers. Our guides share insights about the eagles’ migration patterns and the vital role the Colorado River plays in their habitat—ensuring this cruise is both breathtaking and educational.

Ultimate Eagle Cruise

Experience the most comprehensive adventure we offer: a four-hour journey across the full length of the navigable Colorado River from Lake Buchanan. This extended cruise brings together everything that makes the Hill Country unforgettable—majestic waterfalls, soaring eagles, and abundant wildlife.

Along the way, you’ll visit both Fall Creek Falls and Post Oak Falls, where rushing water plunges directly into the river. Keep your binoculars ready for American Bald Eagles, osprey, herons, and other migrating birds, as well as deer and native Texas wildlife along the shoreline.

Guided by our expert crew, you’ll hear stories of the region’s history, geology, and folklore while enjoying hours of unhurried scenery. For birders, nature lovers, or anyone looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of the Colorado River, this is the ultimate Vanishing Texas experience.

Lake Cruise

Cruise around Lake Buchanan and enjoy the scenic, diverse shoreline and the natural wildlife of this Hill Country region.

View regional and migrating birds, native Texas trees and the big, beautiful Texas sky over the smooth water. Our local and knowledgable tour guides will narrate the history of the lake and ensure you don’t miss a single piece of native wildlife.

This is our go-to cruise during times of drought, as the river area is inaccessible to boats due to low water levels. You can view the Lake Buchanan water levels here.

While there are no waterfalls, this cruise still offers a chance to see the beautiful Hill Country region and many species of native plants and wildlife.

If you’re looking for something more romantic, consider booking the Sunset Cruise, which offers panoramic views of the sunset over the lake and is BYOB.
